Seigneur, en Votre serviteur Matt Talbot, Vous nous avez donné un merveilleux exemple de triomphe sur l’addiction, de dévouement au devoir, et de vénération du Saint-Sacrement toute une vie durant.

Puisse sa vie de prière et de pénitence nous donner du courage pour prendre notre croix et suivre les traces de Notre Seigneur et Sauveur Jésus-Christ.

Père, si c'est Votre Volonté que Votre serviteur bien-aimé soit glorifié par Votre Église, faites connaître par Vos grâces célestes la puissance dont il jouit à Vos yeux. Nous Vous le demandons au Nom de Jésus-Christ Notre Seigneur. Amen.

Doux Matt, je me tourne vers toi dans mes besoins actuels et te demande le secours de tes prières.

Confiant en toi, je suis sûr que ton cœur charitable et compréhensif fera tiennes mes prières.

Je crois que tu es vraiment puissant en la présence de la Divine Miséricorde. Si c'est pour la Gloire du Sacré-Cœur de Jésus, pour l'Honneur de Marie, notre Mère et notre Reine, et pour l'approfondissement de ma relation avec eux, montre-moi que ta bonté envers moi, dans mes luttes quotidiennes, n’a d'égale que ton influence sur le Saint-Esprit, qui est caché et à demeure dans mon cœur.

Ami compatissant, ami puissant, entends-moi en cette heure ; Ô doux Matt, prie pour moi, je t’en prie !

Prayer for the Canonisation

of Matt Talbot

Lord, in your servant, Matt Talbot you

have given us a wonderful example of

triumph over addiction, of devotion to

duty, and of lifelong reverence for the

Holy Sacrament. May his life of

prayer and penance give us courage

to take up our crosses and follow in the

footsteps of Our Lord and Saviour,

Jesus Christ.

Father, if it be your will that your

beloved servant should be glorified by

your Church, make known by your

heavenly favours the power he enjoys in

your sight. We ask this through the

same Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Asking Matt's Help

in the Presence of the Lord

Gentle Matt, I turn to you in my present needs and ask for the help of your prayers.

Trusting in you, I am confident your charitable and understanding heart will make my petitions your own.

I believe that you are truly powerful in the presence of Divine Mercy. If it be for the glory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,

the honour of Mary, our Mother and Queen and the deepening of my relationship with them, show that your goodness towards me, in my daily struggles, equals your influence with the Holy Spirit, who is hidden and at home in my Heart.

Friend of pity, friend of power, hear, oh hear me in this hour, gentle Matt, please pray for me.
